I took another step towards officially becoming an old-timer last week when I chaperoned my first field trip! My daughter Emma's kindergarten class (that's her second from right in the above photo) went to the Prospect Park Zoo.

It was one of those picture perfect days you wait all year for in Brooklyn, and we had a blast. Escorting nine boys to the bathroom for a mass potty break made me glad I don't have nonuplets, but aside from that and I felt more like a kid myself than "the man."
