If you really want to ROCK

...just go to a Cliks show. Really, I'm not being biased. Last night, our clients The Cliks played a scorcher at the Mercury Lounge. It was a week after the release of their US debut, 'Snakehouse' out now on Tommy Boy's Silver Label.

I'm not sure if it was frontman Lucas Silveira's signature swing and sway on stage or his killer guitar licks and vocals. Maybe it was Morgan Doctor's ferocious drumming or Nina Martinez's rockin' guitar playing or Jen Benton's extraordinary show on the bass. What I do know is this: the constant comparisons to early Pretenders is no lie. The Cliks put on a show that clearly shows that they know how to write and play a perfect rock song. Or a cover...yes, they do a killer cover of Justin Timberlake's "Cry Me A River" which segues into Beyonce's "Irreplaceable" when they play it live. A crowd favorite, indeed.

Oh, and I should also mention that The Cliks are one of the nicest bands you will ever meet. They are currently touring right now. So, go check out a show and introduce yourself. Tell them I sent you.

Pictures from last night forthcoming.
