Farrar & Friends, Up Close

Yesterday was one of those "oh yeah, this is why I do it" moments...I got to sit in on a solo acoustic set by Son Volt's Jay Farrar for a couple of dozen folks at Sony. Up so close and in such a quiet room, Farrar's voice was hypnotic on quietly strummed songs from Son Volt's new album 'The Search.'
